EASY WAYS TO STOP THE GADGETS SPYING YOU

Hello Everyone!

As we know that in today's technology packed age everything from Television to Mobile-phones all kind of device are getting hooked up on the internet. That’s bringing convenience, like air conditioning systems that can be activated remotely while you’re on your way home from work. But it’s also bringing new privacy concerns, as anything connected to the Internet tends to attract the attention of hackers.

NOTE-Documents recently released by Wikileaks suggest the Central Intelligence Agency can use spying targets’ TVs against them, turning the sets into always-listening microphones.

Here are some of the important things you can do with your gadgets to stop spying:

#1. Create very Strong Passwords & Change them frequently-

You can create a strong password which may be difficult to guess and you can include a mix of numbers, special characters, alphabets etc. One important thing you should remember is never reuse passwords for multiple accounts, doing so could make it easier for hackers to gain access to multiple services and devices.

#2. Choose Which Smartphone Apps can Access your Location-

Many apps request to use our location in order to provide better services. Facebook, for example, will use your location to let you check in to a particular place or tag where a photo was taken. But you may not want every app to know where you are at all times.

Allowing every single app to access your location may spy on your security.

#3. Keep Software's Update-

Always keep your Software's updated weather it is a TV, Smartphones, Computers or anything else!
Make sure you are always using up to dated versions of software's.
Software updates commonly bring critical security fixes that fix lapses hackers love to exploit. An option to check for software updates can usually be found in your device’s settings menu.

#4. Tape The Web Cam's-

Covering your computer’s camera may not stop a hacker from taking it over, but it will help ensure that they don’t obtain any private footage they can use against you. Hackers can gain access to your webcam and more through a type of software known as a Remote Administration Tool,

#5. Turn Off The Voice Recognition Feature Of The Devices-

While some smart TVs have voice recognition capabilities, there’s a much bigger chance that your smartphone has them. Newer Android models that include the Google Assistant and iPhones that support Apple’s “Hey Siri” feature listen for a trigger phrase in order to answer questions and fulfill requests without requiring a button press.

If this makes you uncomfortable, you can turn off this functionality for the Google Assistant by pressing and holding the Google Pixel’s home button, tapping the icon that looks like three dots, and choosing “settings.” Then press the “OK Google” detection option. For the iPhone, head over to Settings > Siri > Allow “Hey Siri.”

FACEBOOK IS YOUR NEW TRAVEL COMPANION

Hello Everyone!

Facebook adds City Guides to become your new travel companion!

According to a report, Facebook might be getting into the tourism market. The social media giant has introduced a new feature that aims to give users suggestions for events and places to visit in numerous cities across the globe.

Called ‘City Guides,’ the functionality will suggest and possibly send notifications about tourist attractions you might be interest in attending. It will also show friends attending the same events so you can easily find someone to accompany you.

The feature was spotted in testing earlier last year – but it seems the social media titan is finally ready to have another go with it.

Facebook might still be testing out City Guides as it appears the new functionality has rolled out only to a limited number of users. While some fellow already have already reported seeing the feature enabled, it is yet to reach others.

So you might have to wait a little longer before you can browse some of the hottest tourist attractions Facebook has to recommend to you.

I will Update about this later on!

Keep in touch!

GOOD NEWS FOR GMAIL USER'S

Hello Everyone!

I got some good news for those who still use Gmail's attachments as a way to share files: according to an announcement that was recently posted on Google's blog, the IT giant has just increased the size of the attachments that you can receive to 50 MB. However, don't get too excited just yet, this change is only for the recipient side; as the sender of an email, you still won't be able to attach any file that's larger than the previously set 25 MB limit.

As in start this news was a bit confusing but, I'm going to try to explain it as simple as I can. Google has only improved the total size of a single email that you can receive to 50 MB (until now the total size of a single email couldn't be more than 25 MB). The maximum size of a single attachment is still just 25 MB, but from now on you can include two maximum-size attachments into a single email instead of having to send two separate emails. As far as I know, there are many people who still use attachments as a way to share photos, documents and other files, so this improvement is quite useful. Of course, if you need to share larger files, you can always do that using Google Drive directly from your email.

So go ahed and give it a try to this new feature of Google.

WAYS TO CHARGE YOUR PHONE QUICKLY

Hello Everyone!

As our phones have become more and more powerful, with bigger and bigger displays, the battery packs inside them have only just managed to keep pace. It's still not uncommon to be looking for a charger at the end of the day, no matter what make or model of phone you've got.

On the most hectic days in your schedule, however, charging time will be at a minimum. If you're running from meeting to meeting, for example, you may only have five minutes or so to plug in your phone before you have to move away from the outlet again. So you want to get the most battery power stored up in the shortest possible time. Follow these steps to quick-charge your phone during short intervals, and it should still have some life left when the day ends.

1. Use Flight Mode-

One of the most effective ways of getting your phone to charge quickly, whether you're hopping between meetings or about to dash for the train, is to limit the amount of power it draws while it charges. And one of the best ways to do that is to hit the airplane mode button as soon as you plug it in.

This makes more of a difference than you might think. Without the draw of checking wireless connections, updating apps with alerts, and straining to stay connected to its cellular network, your phone draws much less power than normal.

2. Do not Check Your Phone Regularly-

Actually, anything that you normally do to save battery power while you're out and about will also improve charging times when your phone's plugged in. That includes resisting the temptation to check your phone every five minutes to see how high the battery level has risen.

Those big, bright displays on modern-day smartphones are pretty demanding as far as battery life goes, so resist the temptation to check for alerts or indeed do anything else with your phone while it's being topped up. Plug it in, then forget about it until you need to head out again.

If you can't bring yourself to put your phone in Airplane Mode, then another option is to put it face down on a desk and mute notification sounds, so you'll be less tempted to pick it up and start flicking through your emails. Ten minutes of interrupted charging will get your battery to a much higher level than 10 minutes of charging while web browsing and making calls to colleagues.

The same rule applies for anything that's going to put demands on your phone's battery, so no gaming, watching movies, streaming audio, or flicking through your photo albums while the phone's plugged in. If you've found a few minutes to charge your phone then you might well be looking for a distraction—but read a book instead.

3. Plug Into a Wall Socket-

Charging your phone from a laptop is of course very handy if you don't have a wall socket nearby. But the amount of juice your phone's going to get from a USB socket is nothing compared to what a wall socket can offer—though exact rates vary depending on the tech involved.

If you must charge over USB, then find a computer that's as new as possible, because successive USB standards have increased the power capacity available to devices. Again, it depends on which device you're plugging into which power source (as manufacturers take different approaches), but the newer the better.

Ultimately what all of that means is that five minutes plugged into the wall is usually going to be much better than five minutes plugged into your laptop. So if you have the option, go for the wall socket.

It's also a good idea to stick to the charger bundled with your phone, or at least a reputable replacement, where you can. Chances are this cable has been manufactured to get your device charged up as efficiently as possible, and third-party replacements may not be pumping your phone's battery with as much juice as it can handle.

4. Invest In A Quick Charging Phone-

Quick-charging technology is just about everywhere except the iPhone. If you want a phone that can get back on its feet after just a few minutes' charging, look for one that offers the feature the next time you're in the market for a new handset.

Qualcomm's Quick Charge is one of the most competitive technologies out there, and the most recent version 4.0 is likely to be supported by a number of phones launching this year. Some manufacturers have their own variations — the Dash Charge tech on the latest OnePlus flagship, for example, promises to get your phone's battery from 0 to 90 percent in an hour.

As always, take trusted reviews over manufacturers' claims when it comes to believing those sorts of statistics — but quick-charging technology is real and more than a gimmick. It may not help you charge your current phone faster, but bear it in mind next time you purchase a new device, and make sure the supplied charger is quick-charge-ready, like the phone it's powering.

If you're happy to spend some money, but don't want to ditch your current phone just yet, then a portable charger could be the way forward. You can buy charging blocks so your phone can be filling up on power even when it's stuffed inside a drawer or at the bottom of a bag. The only problem is that you then need to charge your charger.

INSTAGRAM IS UPDATING

Hello Everyone!

This is gonna be very interesting that Instagram is finally upgrading to a certain level.
After years of only letting its users post one photo or video at a time, Instagram will finally allow the creation of albums.

You can now post up to 10 photos or videos at once on Instagram, the Facebook-owned app announced. An album can be swiped through in the order it was uploaded in.

Here's how the new feature works:

- Instagram users can now select up to 10 photos or videos from their camera rolls to be shown together in one post.

- Each photo or video can be edited using Instagram's built-in tools and rearranged before or after the post is shared.

- Individual profiles can be tagged in each photo or video, but your caption and location tag applies to the whole collection.

- A little album icon at the top right of a post's thumbnail will indicate if there are multiple photos or videos to see.

- This new feature will gradually be made available to all Instagram users over the next few weeks.

Instagram has been rapidly announcing new features in recent months, most notably its clone of Snapchat's "Stories" format last summer. The app recently hit 600 million monthly users and has managed to slow Snapchat's growth as it prepares for a hotly-anticipated public offering next month.

So we can hope for some added updates soon from the Instagram developers.

POKEMON GO IS HOT AGAIN(NEW UPDATES)

Hello Everyone!

If you are a game lover then you have surly played Pokemon Go which was the viral game last year in summer.

Last summer's viral mobile hit is hot again  Pokemon Go.

According to some reports Last week, Niantic Labs rolled out a major update to the game, introducing 80 more Pokemon for players to capture. The characters were originally discovered in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver, launched for Nintendo's Game Boy Color in 2000. They include creatures such as Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile.

Along with new Pokemon, Niantic added some different game mechanics, such as berries boosting the amount of candy a character dishes out upon capture or to slow them down and make them easier to snag. The interface has also been tweaked to make it easier to swap between different berries or Poké Balls.

The update appears to have sparked fresh interest in the game, which morphed into a phenomenon when it first launched last summer. According to Reports Pokemon Go jumped from the 77th most popular app on Google Play on Friday to third as of Tuesday.

On Apple's App Store, it vaulted from 149th overall last Thursday to 30 on Tuesday. It's currently 34th on the free App Store charts, but tops the chart for highest-grossing apps.

The game features "pocket monsters" called Pokemon players capture in an augmented reality style game. Players use a GPS map of their surroundings to search for Pokemon, then capture them using the smartphone's camera.

Is the game as hot as it was at its peak? Nope. Pokemon Go's success last summer was astounding, and the odds of it returning to those levels would be really tough. But this update is definitely drawing more players back to "catch them all.

IS YOUR SMARTPHONES & CAMERA ARE SAFE

Hello Everyone!

Today's topic is all about the security concerns of the area related to smart and digital world. In this era where everyone is really concerned about the security related problems of the smartphones and camera. So let's have a look on this topic.

Smartphones are typically for applications like games and messaging, but for cyber security experts, your actual phone is the latest area where security companies and hackers are facing off.

Analysts are increasingly worried about malware that can take over our smartphone’s microphone or camera. These concerns, which came up in criticism of incidents like  pointing smartphone camera lights at documents, aren’t just theoretical either: security researchers recently found that hackers could remotely use the camera and microphone on the smartphones of more than 100 Israeli Defense Force soldiers.

“If you were this engineer who wanted to create the perfect spying device — imagine you wanted to be able to have something that could track somebody wherever they go, listen in on their conversations, see what they’re doing — you want to create this piece of technology? Well, it already exists: .  People are carrying these things willingly, so they’re very attractive to be used as devices to spy on people.”

According to the reports the process behind this type of exploit works the same as most malware. For a target, you’ll be sent a prompt to download a seemingly legitimate app or you’ll go to a secondary webpage. These links can often be vague and attempt to gain your trust by appearing to be tied to major businesses or financial benefits. Once installed, these programs attempt to take over your smartphone’s functions through various security holes.

Oftentimes, these vulnerabilities are just as much caused by old software as they are by old hardware. For a lot of older smartphones, it costs manufacturers more than it’s worth to push security updates out. As a result, these old models quickly become obsolete and full of un-patched issues.

The effects of this cycle can be illustrated with smartphone habits. , it remains unclear if he regularly uses it. For users of older phones like the Samsung Galaxy S3, they’re especially vulnerable to hackers thanks to gaping security holes. The Galaxy S3 hasn’t seen an update since 2015 and as Lawfare notes, the smartphone “does not meet the security requirements of the average teenager, let alone the purported leader of the free world.”

Most consumers won’t be as big of a target for these type of hacking attacks, but general online best practices still apply if you want to keep your smartphone’s camera or microphone safe. Haley recommends keeping your phone’s software and hardware regularly updated, using several passwords among your online accounts and avoiding downloading apps or attachments from unverified third-party sources.

“You have to have some general security awareness of not clicking on links and attachments, especially when it’s from somebody they don’t know where something seems wrong about it, even if it looks like it’s a company that you do business with or might do business with,” according to reports “If they’re trying to get you to click on that attachment, that’s very suspicious and you should probably delete it.”

BEST BATTERY PHONES

Hello Everyone!

In this era everyone's  first priority is the smartphones, and with the smartphones Battery issue is the really problem. Each time you buy a smartphone you want the best out of it. So I am listing down some of the Good Battery Backup Phones.
Usually, a phone lasts a full work day with moderate use. But if you use it heavily, you'll need to recharge it more often. Batteries also lose steam over time, running down faster the longer you've owned the phone. The spectre of losing battery and therefore losing your communication is frightening and real.
If you feel your handset battery seems to be stuck in the '90s and doesn't last as long as you'd like, you're not alone.

1. MOTOROLA MOTO Z PLAY-

As the cheapest, most "midrange" phone of Motorola's Moto Z series, you will be  stunned to see that the Moto Z Play not only had the longest battery life of the Z line, but of all the handsets I found smartphone good at this so far. Clocking in a whopping 23 hours and 3 minutes, this handset is worth getting for the battery life alone (aside from the fact that it also works with useful modular accessories). Its Z Force counterpart didn't do so shabbily either, with a time of 16 hours and 32 minutes of video playback.

2. SAMSUNG GALAXY S7 ACTIVE-

I am a great Fan of Samsung Smartphones but the Battery have been the bigger most problem with this brand. But Now I can say that Samsung has really worked on this issue to deliver the out of their Smartphones and Samsung Galaxy S7 is the example of that. That includes the recent Galaxy S7 Active, the S7 Edge and the S7. In addition to being top-tier devices (with the Active being extra durable) they clocked in battery run times over 21, 19 and 16 hours, respectively.

3. ONE PLUS 3-

With an affordable price tag the third flagship from OnePlus still offers high-end specs like a 16-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 5.5-inch display. Its battery also lasts an impressive 14 hours and 17 minutes, and with the company's trademarked Dash charging technology, the device charges super quickly.
Actually I really like the Battery backup of this Brand so far.

4. SAMSUNG GALAXY J3-

As I told I have been a huge Fan of Samsung Smartphones and this list is gonna prove that also. In the Mid range Smartphones The Samsung Galaxy J3 has came up with the really good Battery Backup.
Just in case you thought only premium Samsung handsets can make the list, the Galaxy J3 has a solid battery life and costs less than that Premium Range one Phones Though it may not be the most powerful device, its removable battery hung in for 15 hours and 40 minutes giving the enough from to last the day.

5. XIAOMI MI 5-

This Phone is available in only China and India, the MI 5 is one heck of a device. It features a dazzling glass design, a great 16-megapixel camera and a 5.15-inch screen. Its 3,000mAh battery is no bad either, It Lasts 14 to 15 hours of a day so we can say that its not bad.
The not so good thing about this phone is its availability.

That's It For Now!

NOKIA IS ALL SET TO COMEBACK IN THE MARKET WITH REDESIGNED N-SERIES SMARTPHONES

Hello Everyone!

As we all know that The tech Giant Nokia is all set to boom the gadget market soon, Now according to some reports Nokia is trying to trigger a comeback for its popular N-series smartphones. The N-series device were once well known for its amazing software and it ruled the gadget market. While the phone came to be loved by one and all and initiated a revolution in design mechanism, but it got lost somewhere with the advent of new manufacturers. Nokia is again all set to revive the N-series design. According to a news Nokia brand now has been working on a mid range smartphone and it will be named after the famous Nokia N95. There is a probability that the latest smartphone will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, to be held later February.

Nokia N-series was a multimedia smartphone and tablet product family engineered and marketed by the Nokia Corporation. The N-series devices commonly supported multiple high-speed wireless technologies, such as 3G, or Wireless LAN. Digital multimedia services, such as music playback, photo/video capture or viewing, gaming or internet services were also supported. The line was replaced by the Nokia Lumia line as the company's flagship smartphone portfolio.
The Nokia N1 tablet was introduced in November 2014 and so revived the 'N' prefix. However the company have not marketed the 'N-series' brand so far.
But Now, HMD Global reportedly made a filing for an N series trademark with SAIC (Chinese State Administration for Industry and Commerce). The leaks in China contain the documents regarding the filing of names like Nseries, N-Series and other variants of the terms. The first N series phones came to the market 12 years ago, under the names N70, N90 and N91. These devices became a huge hit, and so did their successors. They were then replaced by the Lumia series by Nokia. While the erstwhile devices contained OS like Symbian, MeeGo and Maemo, it can be expected that the new lineup will run Android. Nokia N series will reportedly contain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series and will go for mass production, the leaks suggest.

Interestingly, Nokia seems to be betting only on China to make a comeback, as the filing was made in China only and earlier it had launched its latest phone, the Nokia 6 in that country itself. Nokia appears to be going with a different strategy for different markets like it had launched the Nokia 150 phones in Europe. So, it is only a matter of time that Nokia hits the smartphone market with a slew of devices.

GOOGLE IS RECALLING STAFF REACTING TO THE IMMIGRATION ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT

Hello Everyone!

This been a little time ago when The newly Elected President of USA has taken some serious steps regarding the Visa Issues and Muslim countries. Now latest news about the work visa has given some Impact to the tech world too.

So The President's latest executive order could spell bad news for the tech industry that's known for hiring overseas talents under a working visa. In fact, Google chief Sundar Pichai has just issued a memo to employees overseas, urging them to fly back to the US ASAP or risk not being able to get into the country at all. "It's painful to see the personal cost of this executive order on our colleagues," he wrote in the memo. According to Bloomberg, the employees in question work in the US but are abroad either on business or for a vacation. A lot of them tried to get back into the country before the President signed on the dotted line, but not everyone made it back in time.
Trump's executive order bans almost all citizens from Iran, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Somalia and Yemen from entering the US for 90 days. The administration considers the first three to be sponsors of terrorism, while the last three are "countries of concern." It will spend the next 90 days assessing whether their governments are asking enough info from visa applicants to give the US enough background data to assess whether they pose a terrorism risk.
New York Daily News reported that green card and valid visa holders were already blocked from boarding flights to the US as soon as a few hours after the order was signed. Since the Google employees from those countries are definitely at risk of being blocked from flying back, the tech titan asked them to reach out to the company's security, travel, and immigration teams for assistance. "No one is really sure whether a green card holder from these seven countries can return to the US now," immigration lawyer Ava Benach told Bloomberg. "It's fairly clear that an H-1B visa holder can't."
Besides Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg also reacted to the immigration order, speaking out against "expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats." As for Google, a spokesperson said the company is concerned that the order "could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families" and that it could "create barriers to bringing great talent to the US." It promises to continue airing its views so that they reach the right leaders in Washington and elsewhere.

FACEBOOK WILL REWARD YOUR VIDEOS

Hello Everyone!

So a really good news for all those people who share their videos on Facebook, Reportedly the News is that Facebook will reward those Videos that people actually watch.

Facebook has changed the way it chooses videos to surface on your News Feed, and this new method favors longer clips. The social network explains in its latest blog post that "percent completion" or the percentage of each video you watch helps its algorithm understand what kind of content you enjoy. "If you watch most or all of a video, that tells us that you found the video to be compelling -- and we know that completing a longer video is a bigger commitment than completing a shorter one," the post reads.
Recode says Facebook will continue counting views that last three seconds or less. But going forward, the social network will make percent completion a bigger factor in ranking videos. So, what does that mean for you? If you're an ordinary user, you'll likely start seeing more longer things to watch than before. If you have a Facebook Page, it's worth noting that longer videos "may see a slight increase in distribution on Facebook," while shorter ones "may see a slight dip."
An earlier report about a new ad format now makes a lot more sense. According to Recode's sources, Facebook is looking to start playing ads around 20 seconds into a video, which could compel publishers to create longer ones in a bid to make more money.

So guys enjoy you reward ships with Facebook if You are a Social Media Geek This Really gonna Help you and this will create a competition directly with You Tube too. Let's See what You Tube will do to conquer with this.

MS EXCEL 2016(UNDERSTANDING THE FORMULA)

HELLO EVERYONE!

In This Tutorial We are going to talk about the most important feature of Excel which is Formula's

So Let's Start !

First of all we are going to understand the basics of the Formula,

Excel formulas are useful in all types of spreadsheet applications. This tutorial includes information on creating formulas and uses real-world scenarios for practice.

Formulas work almost exactly the same way in most spreadsheet programs, so you can work along with this tutorial even if you don't have Excel. These skills will work in Google Sheets, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, and many other spreadsheet programs.

One of the most powerful features in Excel is the ability to calculate numerical information using formulas. Just like a calculator, Excel can add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Simple Formula-

Mathematical operators

Excel uses standard operators for formulas, such as a plus sign for addition (+), a minus sign for subtraction (-), an asterisk for multiplication (*), a forward slash for division (/), and a caret (^) for exponents.

All formulas in Excel must begin with an equals sign (=). This is because the cell contains, or is equal to, the formula and the value it calculates.

Cell Reference

While you can create simple formulas in Excel manually (for example, =2+2 or =5*5), most of the time you will use cell addresses to create a formula. This is known as making a cell reference. Using cell references will ensure that your formulas are always accurate because you can change the value of referenced cells without having to rewrite the formula.

In the Above picture the Formula in Cell A3 refers to the value in cell A1 plus the value in the cell A2.

In the above picture ,the Formula calculates and displays the answer to the equation A1 plus A2.

Note-By combining a mathematical operator with cell references, you can create a variety of simple formulas in Excel. Formulas can also include a combination of cell references and numbers.

To Create A Formula-

1.Select the cell that will contain the formula.

2.Type the equals sign (=). Notice how it appears in both the cell and the formula bar.

3.Type the cell address of the cell you want to reference first in the formula.

4.Type the mathematical operator you want to use

  • 5.Type the cell address of the cell you want to reference second in the formula. A red border will appear around the referenced cell.

  • 6.Press Enter on your keyboard. The formula will be calculated, and the value will be displayed in the cell.

Note-If the result of a formula is too large to be displayed in a cell, it may appear as pound signs (#######) instead of a value. This means the column is not wide enough to display the cell content. Simply increase the column width to show the cell content.

    Modify Values With Cell Reference-

The true advantage of cell references is that they allow you to update data in your worksheet without having to rewrite formulas.
Simply change the cell values simultaneously and you will see the instant change in the result too.
    Its that simple.

Creating Formula Using Point & Click Method-

Rather than typing cell addresses manually, you can point and click on the cells you want to include in your formula. This method can save a lot of time and effort when creating formulas.

1.Select the cell that will contain the formula.

    2.Type the equals sign (=).

3.Select the cell you want to reference first in the formula.

4.Type the mathematical operator you want to use.

5.Select the cell you want to reference second in the formula.

6.Press Enter on your keyboard. The formula will be calculated, and the value will be displayed in the cell.

Note-Formulas can also be copied to adjacent cells with the fill handle, which can save a lot of time and effort if you need to perform the same calculation multiple times in a worksheet.

    Editing A Formula-

Sometimes you may want to modify an existing formula. In the example below, we've entered an incorrect cell address in our formula, so we'll need to correct it.

1.Select the cell containing the formula you want to edit.

2.Click the formula bar to edit the formula. You can also double-click the cell to view and edit the formula directly within the cell.

3.A border will appear around any referenced cells.

4.When you're finished, press Enter on your keyboard or select the
Enter command in the formula bar.
5.The formula will be updated, and the new value will be displayed in the cell.

    That,s It For Now!
